1. Individual work
● Submit 40 initial designs (hand drawn, numbered) for inspiration from assessment 1
● Develop 20 designs with consideration for scale, placement, texture, fabric, and color
● Present final lineup of 7 looks with color applied, fabric swatches, and annotations for each design.

● Trend board (digital) using visuals and text to communicate drivers and key details informed by WGSN trend, showing how it will inform concept
● Concept board (digital) with primary and secondary images, concept narrative, concept statement, name of collection, season
● Market segmentation and customer profile (digital) analyzing market level, competitors, and customer profile with visuals and annotations

- Initial designs/ sketches: hand-drawn preliminary drawings to explore and develop ideas for new garments, typically consisting of basic shapes, silhouettes, and details before refining and finalizing the designs.
- Design development: the iterative process of refining initial design concepts through experimentation with scale, placement, texture, fabric, and color to create fully realized and commercially viable garments.
- Final line-up: the selection of 7 complete looks, each with color applied, fabric swatches, and annotations, that will comprise a cohesive and marketable capsule collection.
- Trend board: a digital visual representation that communicates the drivers and key details of a fashion trend, informing the concept and design process.
- Concept board: a visual representation of a designer's creative vision and inspiration for a specific collection, communicating the concept narrative, keywords, and style direction through a combination of images, text, and color palettes.
- Market segmentation and customer profile: a digital presentation that analyzes the target market level, identifies competitors, and creates a detailed customer profile with visuals and annotations to communicate their lifestyle and preferences.
- Color board: a visual representation of a selected color palette for a specific collection or project, featuring inspirational images, Pantone color swatches, color proportions.
- Fabric board: a physical representation of approximately 10 fabrics that are suitable for a specific collection, customer, and season, featuring actual swatches of the chosen fabrics, prints, closures, trims, linings, thread, and other relevant details.
- Mood board: a visual representation of the desired aesthetic, color palette, textures, and overall mood or atmosphere of a collection, used to communicate design ideas and inspiration.
